Sometimes you do not want a still – you want every still, in order. Converting video to an image sequence gives you a numbered set of frames (frame_00001, frame_00002, …) that drops straight into animation tools, analysis pipelines and training datasets.

How do I convert a video to an image sequence?

What FPS should I use for an image sequence?

Match the purpose: 1 FPS for summaries, 5–15 FPS for motion analysis, and the video’s native rate (usually 24–30) when every frame matters, such as rotoscoping or measurement work.

JPG or PNG for a frame sequence?

PNG if the frames feed an editing or measurement pipeline – it is lossless. JPG if the sequence is for reference, review or training data where small files matter more; use 90%+ quality for a good balance.

Is there a limit on video length for sequence export?

No hard limit – the extractor runs locally, so the practical limit is your disk space and patience, not a server quota. Use Time Range and a sensible FPS to keep very long videos manageable.
